November 6, 2017

We all have those moments when we feel weak or weary. Take comfort in these scriptures, videos and words of encouragement.

Declare these words over your life!

Meditation Monday

God, you are my refuge and strength, always ready to help me in times of trouble. Thank you in the name of Jesus, amen

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father, I declare that I will not be afraid because you are with me. I will not be discouraged because you are my God. You will strengthen and help me. You, Lord, will hold me up with your victorious right hand in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Lord, you are my strength and song. You have given me victory. You are my God and I will praise you and exalt you forever. In Jesus' name, amen.

“The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him!”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus, You told me to come to you and you will give me rest. I declare that I will take your light yoke in exchange for my heavy burdens. Teach me because you are humble and gentle in heart and I will find rest for my soul. I will find rest in You In Jesus' name. Amen.

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I declare that I give all my worries and cares to you God because you care for me in Jesus' name. Amen.

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father, your grace is All I need. Your power works best in my weakness. So I will boast in my weakness so that the power of Christ can work through me in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father, because I trusts in you, I will find new strength. I will soar high on wings like eagles. I will run and not grow weary. I will walk and not faint in Jesus' name, amen.

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Be encouraged and check out Kari Jobe's song Come To Me.

“God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it. For this good news—that God has prepared this rest—has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God. For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,’” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world. We know it is ready because of the place in the Scriptures where it mentions the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.” But in the other passage God said, “They will never enter my place of rest.” So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God. So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.” Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall. For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:1-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬
